Smart Grid Enablement

The starting point for many utilities to achieve the smart grid vision is to gain access to consumer energy usage data by installing an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) coupled with meter data management, analytics, and demand response capability. As the pioneer in applying IEC 61968 CIM standards for AMI and smart grid  systems integration dating back to 2005, Xtensible has a wealth of experience and mature integration processes in place to provide a quick ramp-up on new projects. We have defined and used the 61968 data models and message payload standards on multiple projects, which are currently available in our MD3i Business Models. Consumer Engagement

Xtensible has been at the forefront of developing and applying standards for enabling consumer engagement within the smart grid implementation, including  standards such as Zigbee Smart Energy Profile (SEP), OpenADR, and the NAESB Energy Service Provider Interface (ESPI), which is now the basis for Green Button.
